This man is not a monk. A lunatic with a robe. Why can’t the police arrest him. He should not stay in a temple. He is a brutal animal. Perhaps animals behave better than this man. It is a shame to our religion. He should not be allowed to act in this way. Where is the law and order? He is a nasty racist. If we have few like this idiot we are bound to get problems again. Pathetic to she this idiot is trying to hit a woman!
Dear Sir / madam,
I refer to the recent footage went viral on the Facebook, with regard to a Single Monk seems to defend something against several Police officers and a few civilians. I feel that his frustration will spread further thanks to the cameraman.
I do not understand a thing about the comments made but peripheral actions speak volumes. This Buddhist monk has gone berserk and this is NOT how I remembered Buddhist monks behave in Ceylon, then there were no threats from anyone to harm Buddhist monks or their dwellings in anyway.
Why having so many high ranking Police offers were trying to quell down a single Buddhist Monk? It appears that he is so fiercely trying to protect something more precious than his life and undeniably it is not his reputation. I am so proud that we still have Sinhalese Buddhist monks such as this monk to protect my motherland.
At present Sri Lanka is losing its precious minute land to occupy Muslim radicals and freed Tamil terrorists and the current Government is shamefully playing a deaf, dumb and blind game. Knowing Sinhalese “blood thirsty” reputation this act is extremely dangerous and will tip the balance towards another Civil War.
What a shameful chapter this is in Ceylon’s history regarding Nationalism and Buddhism? I do not know what or whom to believe. As an expat, I am simply confused.
Please, could you publish your unbiased material, offering full explanations rather than taking things out of context to promote popularity among the media-frenzy public?
Where is the prelude of this story Sir? I believe as an unbiased journalist, you have a responsibility and an obligation to publish the whole truth and nothing but the truth. If you need further assistance, please let me know. Thank you.
He should be brought before the law. Whether in uniform or not attacking a woman is shameful and he should be punisihed for it
